November Happenings

by: Jess Tack | Dec 1st 10

Friday November 5, 2010 our brother Randy Miller of The Myriad was welcomed into the arms of Jesus. Randy was battling bone cancer (chondrosarcoma) for the past two years and was finally released from it. Like many artists Randy was without health or life insurance leaving his family with a lot of medical and funeral expenses. Donations can be made at by going to the Online Giving section at www.TheStirring.org and clicking on the Mercy Fund (right panel) designated for the Miller Family. All donations are tax deductible.

Our friends at HM Magazine posted a beautiful testament of his life: http://www.hmmagazine.com/2010/11/news-collection-week-of-11-14/#more-01

Here's a short clip:

“Randy breathed life into everyone around him all the way until the very end. People would come to the hospital to visit Randy and encourage him but quickly found out the visit would be quite the opposite. He began to pour out words of encouragement and tell people to do everything that’s in their heart. He saw things in people that no one else recognized and his words of life ignited fires that could not be put out. He has changed my life and most of the people I know. Randy was a great man.” – Jeremy Edwardson, vocalist from The Myriad.

November 6, 2010 The Great Commission was in a pretty serious accident where they were hit from behind by a tractor-trailer. Their van was flipped and totaled, by the grace of God everyone is physically all right. They could use some encouragement though. Please send Angela messages on Ryfo and let her know you're praying for them. We want to keep their spirits high and know they will be taken care of.

You can read their encounter on their Facebook page here:
